Scan a receipt.
It books itself.
Point your camera at the receipt. The app reads vendor, amounts and VAT, suggests a category and files it in the right month — in seconds, not minutes.
From pocket to books.
A guided scan
Snap the receipt and watch it being read — a scan line sweeps over your own photo while the app narrates: "Reading your receipt…", "Finding amounts & VAT…". Crooked wallet photos are straightened automatically. And the progress bar never claims done before the server confirms.
The whole receipt, read
25+ data points per document: vendor, dates, net, VAT, total, currency, a suggested category — and every line item. A scan takes seconds, typically 10 to 40.
No double bookings
Upload the same file twice and the app stops you — with a link to the original. A new invoice carrying the same supplier and invoice number gets flagged too.
Every scan gets one confidence score out of 100. At 70 or above, the record is created for you. Below that, nothing is booked — the document is stored and waits for your say-so. And if the numbers on a receipt don't add up, it's flagged for review instead of booked quietly. How to scan with the mobile app →
The follow-up work does itself.
A category, suggested
Each scan comes with a suggested expense category — country-specific, and you can change it with one tap. Correct the same vendor three times and TaxItEasy® remembers your pattern for the next scan.
Payments match themselves
Import a bank statement and every payment looks for its receipt on four signals — invoice number, amount, date, counterparty. Strong matches (≥90) confirm silently; everything is visible and undoable. See the full flow →
Your tax advisor, in the loop
Invite your tax advisor — free, they never use a seat. They see new documents as they arrive, and every action they take is logged in your activity feed. If a receipt is missing, they can request it and you get a notification to snap it from your phone.
FAQ.
What can I scan with the app?
Receipts, invoices, credit notes, bank statements — even tax letters. PDF, JPG, PNG and HEIC up to 20 MB. iPhone photos (HEIC) are handled automatically, and you can pick up to 10 photos from your library at once.
How long does a scan take?
Seconds — typically 10 to 40. The progress bar is honest: it narrates what's happening and never says done before the server confirms.
What happens if I scan the same receipt twice?
If it's the identical file, it's blocked before it's even read, with a link to the original — no second scan, no double booking. A fresh photo of the same receipt is a new file, so it is scanned — but the resulting invoice is flagged as a potential duplicate when it carries the same supplier and invoice number.
Do I have to sort receipts into folders?
No. Every scanned document is renamed to a consistent pattern and filed into its month folder automatically — by invoice date, not upload date. If an upload ever fails, here's how to fix it.
